Stanthorpe will again be hosting a regional competition for the Australian National Busking Championships™ in 2019. This event will be Stanthorpe’s third annual event and it will be all happening on Saturday 23rd March.
Saturday was a fantastic day! Well, that is until the storm cut the evening short and cancelled the fireworks. We’ll be doing updates mainly over on our Facebook page today as we all relax in the park.
ROADWORKS between Warwick & Stanthorpe. Please allow an extra 30 minutes due to a combination of roadworks & traffic build up between Warwick and Stanthorpe this weekend.
A great day all abut apples was held in the Piazza today. We saw some amazingly tasty apple pies & jellies, judged by Ros Sutton from Sutton’s Juice Factory.
Stanthorpe resident Kerry Stratford has retained bragging rights as the best apple peeler in the Granite Belt, winning the prize for longest continuous apple peel for the seventh time.
If you look around the windows of the shopfronts up and down the street you’ll find some wonderful creativity & fun. Shops compete for best window display in the Ergon Network Decorated Windows competition. Judging will be held on Wednesday 28 February.
Can you make the best apple pie on the Granite Belt? Entries are due on Thursday 1st March. Submit your entries by 9:45am at the Farley Street Piazza.

Due to the wet weather the busking finals will be relocated to The Alley Arcade, enter from Railway Street or Farley Street (next to Feast n Farmin’ cafe).
The Stanthorpe ?Apple & Grape? Harvest Festival starts this weekend & goes for 10 days (23 February – 4 March 2018).
