Street Party & Official Opening

Plan a night out listening to buskers, bands and wandering through the car displays from 6pm.

At approximately 7pm we mark the beginning of the 10 days of festival fun ahead with the the ‘Turning on of the Festival Lights’ by Ergon Energy.  The thousands of lights suddenly illuminate the festival bunting flags running across the length of the CBD main street.

Say hello to festival mascots, Jonathan Apple and Isabella Grape, as well as Festival Young Ambassadors.  There’ll be a few words from festival organisers and VIPs as we officially launch the 2024 festival fun.
