Parents of young children will find a place to relax at the Children’s Zone in Weeroona Park during the 2020 Apple and Grape Harvest Festival.

The Children’s Zone will be open from 10am-5pm on 7 & 8 March – coinciding with the Heritage Bank Food & Wine Fiesta!

The Children’s Zone is right near the Heritage Bank Wine and Food Fiesta – which will allow parents to enjoy the fiesta, while their children play nearby.

The Children’s Zone, located near the Paddy Ryan Bandshell in Stanthorpe’s Weeroona Park, will offer activities for primary school aged children, including craft workshops and activities, sandcastle building, face painting, stage entertainment, balloon artists, a petting zoo and more.

Although parents will be required to supervise their kids in the children’s zone, its proximity to the Heritage Bank Food & Wine Fiesta means that they will still be able to enjoy the wine, food and great entertainment in that section of Weeroona Park.

Food and Wine Fiesta

A nursing mothers’ tent and first aid tent will also be located in the Children’s Zone.

Entry to the Children’s Zone will be via the Wine and Food Fiesta entrance.  Children will be admitted free of charge.

The Children’s Zone has been made possible by funding by the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal Tackling Tough Times program and sponsorship from Woolworths.
